A Handle

1. Heat water till boiling. 2. Throw at intruder.

I don’t normally write about work, partially because I don’t want to get dooced, (Google it) and partially because there’s nothing worth writing about, but it does need mentioning.

My job function has shifted dramatically in the last few days, and as a result it’s becoming difficult to find time to blog.

Some people from work have left, and their jobs have been shoved into my face and up my nasal cavity. Currently they’re poking me in the frontal lobe and it tickles. And smells like burnt toast.

Posts may or may not become shorter, or, occasionally, I won’t update for a day or two. At least until I get a handle on things.

Speaking of handles: in the 1980s we used to drive to Florida and stay in my grandma’s condo. Our Oldsmobile had a CB radio, and we used to talk to Truckers to avoid traffic jams and dodge the Smokies. Our handle was, appropriately, "Florida".

When my grandma died, we got her kettle. It has a nice, thick, rubbery handle.

indeed. i've been having the issue of taking several days to compose an update myself.

if your job is playing the nintendo Wii (as you posted previously), i'll gladly submit a resume to your company to help out.

if your job is something else, like cleaning toilets for people who play Wii, then maybe my resume needs work ;)

Is it safe to say that your new workload is hard to handle? You're having a difficult time getting a handle on your new responsibilities? No time to blog because you listening to "The Messiah" by Handel?

I went too far, didn't I?

and "time time time" is sorta the game used with the readers of my blog and on of theirs (all related, of course) so, don't take it personally...i guess this means you're part of the family! lol

btw, since you went to the new beta version, the work verification works and it's much easier to post comments!

the beautiful thing is that we love you because of you and not how often you post. so we will happily take what you can give us (as we secretly wish for more :) ) and not complain (you can't hear that far, lol)..

it is okay. life gets you busy. we all understand. as long as you don't go away as Happy and Blue did and leave us mourning..Oh pls don't!

and your grandma's kettle is just beautiful. full of sweet memories and all..

take care and remember how much we all care.

Thanks Chana. I was able to get another tiny post up today, and although it's mostly complaining, at least it's creative complaining.

And k, I'm glad somebody got my burnt toast joke!
